Writing Matters…

Hi, my name is Katy and ever since I was little, I have loved to write. Whether it be songs, stories, blog posts, articles or even university essays, writing has always been a beloved hobby of mine. I hope to now take it a step further by pursuing a career around writing - although which exact path I want to go down is still unclear to me. However, what I do know is that now more than ever, writing from the heart is increasingly important. Especially in the dawn of new technology such as artificial intelligence.

I am also a firm believer in the fundamental role long-form content plays in our media diet. As TikTok and Instagram reels slowly take over, I hope this blog can be a way to indulge in some longer written pieces. And more than anything, to behave as a slight breather from the never-ending social media stream we all seem to be sailing down at the moment.

For now, this is an entirely creative outlet, with the goal to post once a week, writing about whatever is on my mind. All with the general aim of creating an extensive portfolio of work. I hope you can find something here that sparks your interest, and of course any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
